A lot can happen in a day. A lot of bad can happen in a day.
Sometimes, more than anything, taking a deep breath and focusing just on that breath can help our minds put life into perspective… or at least make it – hopefully – seem a little less daunting.
When you force yourself to focus solely on your breathing, your mind has no choice but to stop fixating on whatever is overwhelming you.
I’m not saying this is going to fix everything for you. It won’t. It would be nice if breathing fixed everything. Life would be way easier if it did… but it just might give you a little hope in a moment where everything seems hopeless.
