Weekend Whispers :: Ecclesiastes 11:4

“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.”

If you’re waiting for things to be perfect or for everything to line up perfectly before you do anything, you’re going to do absolutely nothing.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a pro at ‘what if’ thinking.

Sometimes we have to act on faith. I’m not telling you to behave recklessly. Not at all. I am saying, though, that if God is calling you to do something, don’t allow minor inconveniences or huge fears (or anything in between) to keep you from following His call.

If farmers allowed imperfect weather or the possibility of poor weather to rule their actions, we would starve to death. Sometimes risks are necessary. Sometimes, they’re what make the impossible possible.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You would give me the courage to do what You’re calling me to do. No matter what obstacles life tries to throw my way, help me to be brave and follow through. Amen.
