Education :: Taking a Break

I apologize for being out of touch with education posts the past couple of weeks. I honestly was really struggling to find motivation for the posts. I’m going to keep writing! But for the summer, I’m going to take a break from the education posts.

I think you should take a break, too.

If you’re a teacher and you don’t HAVE to do anything teacher-related over the summer, then I say, “Take a break!”

If you’re a new teacher and you’re offered a summer job, don’t take it. Based on experience, I can almost guarantee that the job is one that the other teachers in your school all know is one you don’t want to do. Don’t let obligation add on to your schedule.

If you feel like you need to use the entire summer to plan your next year, are you sure? Wouldn’t taking a break for most of the summer be more beneficial for your students?

You need rest. You need time to recover.

This is for every school year. Not just a pandemic school year.

If you’re continuously focused only on school, when do you get a chance to recuperate before the next year starts?

You deserve a break! Take advantage.

My education posts will be back Friday, August 13, 2021!

P.S. Yes, that’s my cat. Yes, I’m obsessed with him. No, I’m not sorry. πŸ˜‚πŸ™ƒ
