You know that saying, “Time flies when you’re having fun?” It also flies when you have deadlines.
Obviously I’ve been radio silent for a few weeks. If you read my latest “Hope” blog post, you’ll know I was having a silent spell so I could get ready and move to Boston.
I’m here! I made it safely.
That last week at home was hectic. I got to spend some time with friends, though I couldn’t see everyone. I got to see some family members, but again, ran out of time.
I had it all planned out in my mind. I knew how I was going to pack up my car and when exactly I would be able to see each person.
And then reality happened. Everything took far longer than expected and I got so far behind on everything that I needed to do that the thing I wanted to do – visit friends and family once more before heading out – didn’t happen.
Yes, I was able to text and call, but it isn’t the same.
So, really, what I’m saying is this: expect plans to not work out exactly as you’ve planned. Make sure to do the important things first. If you’re determined, the necessities will happen.
That’s my piece of hope for you this week!
