Education
Writing for our students can be extremely hard! Teaching our students to write, however, is even more difficult.
In today’s world of distance learning, there are bigger challenges yet than what we already deal with in the classroom!
And for our younger students, our aim is to have them do more interactive practices rather than solely pencil-to-paper actions and activities.
I’ve created this blog to give tips and ideas for all of the issues above! I have created some resources for our teachers and I’m using Common Core Standards to create curriculums to help teach our students, whether online or in person!
Hope
We live in a hurting and broken world. No matter which direction we look, there is always something going wrong.
2020 has been a banner year for, “If it can go wrong, it will go wrong.” It’s hard to grab on to hope when everything around us seems to be broken and just plain wrong.
It’s my aim to breathe a little hope back into the world, especially for our teens and tweens who are already dealing with so much.
I hope that even if you’re not quite sure about what I’m saying, that you’ll give me a chance!
Talk to me! 😊

- Education :: Why the Parents MatterWhen I was a music teacher, I got along really well with the parents with whom I came in contact. However, I heard the stories from other teachers and their take was that the ‘parents were the worst part of the job’. It can be difficult, I know. We see our students at school andContinue reading “Education :: Why the Parents Matter”
- Hope :: Keep Pushing ThroughI’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. And again. And again. Life is hard! I don’t care how happy or put-together someone looks. I can tell you from experience that the ones who seem to be holding things together the best are usually the ones who are falling apart the most. I don’tContinue reading “Hope :: Keep Pushing Through”
