When I take a look at the next couple of months, I feel a little apprehension. Mostly, however, I feel excitement and a sense of readiness.
I haven’t made any huge announcements online yet, so here goes!
This coming Saturday will be my last night working as a security guard for a casino resort.
As much as I have loved my team, it is time to move on.
This August, I will be starting my Master of Arts in Publishing and Writing at Emerson College.
You may ask: Brittany, what are you going to do for the next two-and-a-half months? How will you survive?
Reasonable questions!
Over the past seven months, I have saved as much money as I can. It’s enough to cover my bills and feed me as long as I’m careful!
With that being said, these next couple of months are going to be spent preparing for college. Though these projects aren’t necessarily college-related, they are all things I want/need to complete before classes begin.
These projects include recording more of my “Stories of the Bible” series as well as turning the rest of my blog posts into voice recordings.
Why do I tell you all of this?
If you, like me, are single and without children, you may be finding dissatisfaction with life. Not because life doesn’t have good to it, but rather because you’re not doing with your life what you are called to do.
Because of the preparations I made, I’m able to take some time off work and move toward the calling on my life.
What are you doing in your life? How can you follow what God is calling you toward?
I write this to give you hope: it can be done. I’m 31 years old as I write this. I’ve tried following several completely different paths in my life. Each one has caused me to feel like it’s teaching me something (often many things) but never felt like it was the end goal. I’m still figuring it out, but I feel like I’m finally on the track leading to what I’ll do for the rest of my life.
